Department Vision:

Graduates of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering will be recognized as innovative leaders in the fields of computer science and software engineering. This recognition will come from their work in software development in a myriad of application areas, as well as through their work in advanced study and research. A central objective of our program is to contribute to society by advancing the fields of computer science and software engineering through innovations in teaching and research, thus enhancing student knowledge through interactive instruction, global engagement, and experiential learning.     Tech Laboratories:

 

C-Programming & Data Structures Lab: Learn C Programming language , To make the student solve problems, implement algorithms using C language, To strengthen the ability to identify and apply the suitable data structure for the given real world problem.

 

IT Workshop: To provide Technical training to the students on Productivity tools like Word processors, Spreadsheets, Presentations, To make the students know about the internal parts of a computer, assembling a computer from the parts, preparing a computer for use by installing the operating system, To learn about Networking of computers and use Internet facility for Browsing and Searching.

 

Python Programming & Data Science Lab: To train the students in solving computational and

Mathematical problems using Python programming language, practical understanding of building different types of models and their evaluation.

 

Database Management Systems Lab: To create a database and query it using SQL, design forms and generate reports, understand the significance of integrity constraints, referential integrity constraints, triggers, assertions.

 

Object Oriented Programming Through Java Lab: Learn to use object orientation to solve problems and use java language to implement them, To experiment with the syntax and semantics of java language and gain experience with java programming.

 

Python Programming Lab:. This course provides knowledge on how to implement programs in python language and to solve computational problems using the various programming constructs including data structures, functions, string handling mechanisms and file handling concepts.

 

Operating Systems Lab: This course presents fundamental concepts related to the design and implementation of operating systems. Topics includes basic operating system structure, process scheduling, process and thread synchronization and concurrency, memory management and file system.

 

Software Engineering Lab: This lab makes students to  learn and implement the fundamental concepts of software Engineering to explore functional and non functional requirements through SRS,,to practice the various design diagrams through appropriate tool, to learn and implement various software testing strategies.

 

Object Oriented Analysis and Design & Software Testing Laboratory: To develop Use case diagrams, Class diagrams, Sequence diagrams, Collaboration diagram, State diagram, Activity diagram, Component diagram, Deployment diagram and Test Design. Software testing course is to apply the concepts of testing in a practical approach; the emphasis of this course is on techniques to develop test cases used for testing the application manually or by automation.

Web and Internet Technologies Laboratory: This Lab course is to apply the concepts of web programming in a practical approach; the emphasis of this course is on techniques of web programs development within the structure and object-oriented paradigm. Implementation of programs includes HTML static pages, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and PHP with database interactions.

 

Data Warehousing & Mining Laboratory: This Data mining course is to analyze and understand the data mining functionalities such as associations, classification and clustering.

Grid & Cloud Computing Laboratory: The student should be made to familiar with developing web services/Applications in grid framework,Be exposed to tool kits for grid and cloud environment,Learn to use Hadoop,Learn to run virtual machines of different configuration

 

Mobile Application Development Laboratory: Know the components and structure of mobile application development frameworks for Android and windows OS based mobiles, Understand how to work with various mobile application development frameworks, Learn the basic and important design concepts and issues of development of mobile applications, Understand the capabilities and limitations of mobile devices.

 

M.Tech Laboratories:

 

Object Oriented Software Engineering Lab :  This lab makes the students to Interact with a “client” to elicit project requirements by developing and refining scenarios and use cases, Extract an Object Model and Dynamic Model of system functionality and performance from the requirements, Design and implement structured, robust, maintainable object-oriented systems across multiple platforms and appropriate programming languages from the specifications developed, Develop teamwork and management skills to divide tasks and effectively develop projects in large software teams, Produce industry standard documentation from requirements, analysis, and design through testing and verification, Research, evaluate and use various CASE tools for object-oriented software engineering including IDE's, SDK's, and version control systems(e.g. GIT).

 

Data Science Lab : Students will develop relevant programming abilities with statistical analysis of data, ability to build and assess data-based models, statistical analyses with professional statistical software, demonstrate skill in data management.

 

Software Requirements & Estimation Lab :Student will be able to  Gain knowledge about software requirements, Analyze requirement elicitation techniques and prototyping, Gain knowledge about requirement management, their principles and practices, Analyze use case modeling and different data diagrams, Estimating the software in terms of size, cost, effort and schedule.

 

Advances in Software Testing Lab : Students Have an ability to apply software testing knowledge and engineering methods, have an ability to design and conduct a software test process for a software testing project, have an ability to identify the needs of software test automation, and define and develop a test tool to support test automation

 

Model Driven Software Engineering Lab :

Students to develop enabling technologies for supporting model driven engineering approaches to software development,develop improved techniques and tool support for using executable specifications and model-based testing to better capture, manage and test software against its requirements ,better support "early phase" decision making by providing tools and techniques to assess nonfunctional requirement adherence at early stages in the software development process.

 

Software Patterns Lab : Students to understand design patterns and their underlying object oriented concepts, Software architecture and quality requirements of a software system ,

Identifying the appropriate patterns for design problems, To understand implementation of design patterns and providing solutions to real world software design problems and consequences of combining patterns on the overall quality of a system.
